MaidEX Cleaning Services Ltd. (“MaidEX”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use maidex.ca or book a cleaning with us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep this simple on purpose — honest and upfront is how we run everything.

Who we are

Information we collect

We only collect what we need to give you a clean and to run our business honestly:

• Booking & contact details — your name, email address, phone number, service address and postal code, and any cleaning instructions, access notes or parking/garbage preferences you choose to share.
• Payment details — when you save a card at booking, it is handled by our payment processor, Stripe. Stripe securely stores your card; MaidEX never sees or stores your full card number. We keep only limited references (such as a Stripe customer ID) needed to charge you after your clean.
• Enquiry & lead details — if you start a booking (for example, entering your email and postal code to check availability) or send us a message, we keep those details so we can follow up and help you.
• Referral codes — if you use or share a referral code, we record it to apply the correct discount and reward.
• Usage information— like most websites, our servers and analytics tools automatically collect basic technical data (such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type) to keep the site working and understand how it is used. See “Cookies & analytics” below.

How we use your information

• To schedule, provide and manage your cleaning service.
• To send booking confirmations, invoices, reminders and service updates.
• To process payments for completed cleans through Stripe.
• To respond to your enquiries and follow up on quotes or bookings you started.
• To invite you to leave a review after a completed clean, and to apply referral rewards.
• To improve our website and service, and to keep both secure and free from fraud.
• To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Cookies & analytics

We may use Google Analytics, a web-analytics service provided by Google, to understand how visitors find and use our site so we can make it better. This uses cookies and collects usage data as described above. We do not send your name, email, phone number or address to Google. You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run MaidEX, and only as needed to do so:

• Stripe — to securely process and store payment methods.
• Google Analytics — for website usage insights (non-personal).
• Email & hosting providers — to send our emails and run the website and booking system.
• Our cleaning team — the assigned cleaner receives the details needed to complete your job (address, access notes, instructions).

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of MaidEX, our customers or others.

How long we keep it

We keep your personal information only for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations. When it is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.

How we protect it

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including secure (HTTPS) connections, restricted access to customer data, and handling payments through Stripe so card numbers never touch our systems. No method of transmission or storage is ever perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

Your choices & rights

Under British Columbia and Canadian privacy law, you may ask to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted where we are not required to keep it. To make a request, email us at hello@maidex.ca and we'll take care of it. You can also unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time using the link in the email.

Children

Our services and website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the “last updated” date above. Significant changes will be made clear on this page.
