What is daycare cleaning?
Cleaning built around a busy childcare centre
MaidEX provides recurring environmental cleaning for daycares, childcare centres and preschools across Metro Vancouver — playrooms and activity areas, high-touch surfaces, child and staff washrooms, floors, kitchen and food-prep surfaces, and nap areas. We usually work after-hours, before the centre opens, using eco-friendly supplies, so the space is fresh and ready for the day without ever interrupting care. It's designed for centre directors and owners who need a dependable, consistent clean on a schedule that fits their hours.
What MaidEX cleans
A complete clean, room to room
Every visit follows the same thorough commercial checklist, so your centre stays consistently clean and welcoming for children, families and staff.
Why it matters for childcare
A childcare space needs consistent cleaning
Daycares and preschools are high-touch, high-turnover spaces — dozens of little hands moving between toys, tables, cubbies and washrooms all day, every day. Germs spread quickly, and both parents and regulators expect a consistently clean centre. Recurring environmental cleaning keeps surfaces, floors, washrooms and shared areas fresh between care days, so your team can focus on the children instead of the mop.
Eco-friendly supplies for a space full of little hands
MaidEX uses eco-friendly cleaning supplies as part of our standard service — a practical choice for a room full of children and staff. To be completely clear about what that means: this is about the supplies we choose to use. We don't hold or claim any separate “child-safe” or health certification for our cleaning.
Recurring options that fit your centre
Several times a week, daily, or a custom schedule — we build the frequency around your size and operating hours. Larger, busier centres often choose daily or multiple visits a week; smaller programs may prefer fewer. There's no universal required frequency, so we tailor it to how your centre actually runs.
After-hours, ready before you open
We clean in the evenings or early mornings, so your playrooms, washrooms, nap areas and floors are fresh and ready before the first child arrives — and cleaning never gets in the way of care.
Quality you can see
Photo-documented cleaning, every visit
Running a childcare centre means you can't watch every after-hours clean. With the MaidEX Spot Report, each visit is photo-documented, so your director can see exactly what was done without being there. It keeps standards consistent and gives you a clear record of the work for your own records and for the families you serve.
After-hours cleaning
We clean evenings or early mornings so playrooms, washrooms and nap areas are fresh before the centre opens — never during care hours.
Insured & background-checked
Insured, background-checked cleaners you can trust with keys, alarm codes and access to a childcare space after hours.
Eco-friendly supplies
We use eco-friendly, low-odour cleaning supplies selected for daycare and childcare environments — a practical fit for rooms full of little hands.
Photo-documented QA
Every visit is captured with the MaidEX Spot Report, so your director can see exactly what was cleaned.
Cleaning only — not childcare or facility certification
To be clear about scope: MaidEX provides environmental and janitorial cleaning for your centre. We do not provide childcare, supervision of children, or any regulated childcare-facility certification. Our job is to keep the space clean — playrooms, surfaces, washrooms, nap areas, kitchen and food-prep surfaces, floors and common areas — so your team can focus on caring for the children.
How pricing works
A customized commercial quote — not one flat rate
Every centre is different, so your exact price varies. Commercial cleaning starts at $150/visit + GST, then reflects your cleanable square footage, how often you want service, the number of rooms, the scope of work, the condition of the space and any add-ons you need. Tell us a few details and we'll put together a clear, customized commercial quote for your daycare.

Daycare cleaning FAQ
Common questions
How much does daycare cleaning cost?
There's no single flat rate. Your price depends on cleanable square footage, how often you want service, the number of rooms, the scope of work, the condition of the space and any add-ons. We put together a customized commercial quote for your centre rather than a one-size-fits-all number.
Do you use eco-friendly / low-odour products?
Yes. MaidEX uses eco-friendly cleaning supplies as part of our standard service. It's a practical fit for a space full of children and staff. To be clear, this is about the supplies we choose — we don't hold or claim any separate child-safe or health certification.
How often should a daycare be cleaned?
It depends on your size and operating hours — busier centres often schedule cleaning several times a week or daily, while smaller programs may prefer fewer visits. There's no universal required frequency, so we tailor the schedule to how your centre actually runs.
Do you clean after hours?
Yes. We schedule evenings or early mornings so cleaning never interrupts care and your playrooms, washrooms and nap areas are ready before the centre opens each day.
Do your cleaners have background checks?
Yes — every MaidEX cleaner is insured and background-checked.
